Technical glitch disrupts Delhi Metro services briefly

NEW DELHI: Delhi Metro services were on Saturday disrupted for nearly an hour due to a technical glitch, an official said, adding that services have been restored.

"Some foreign material got entangled in the overhead electric (OHE) wire near Rajouri Garden station due to a thunderstorm around 3.45pm," an official said, adding the services on the Blue Line were affected.

He said the services were disrupted for an hour and were restored around 5.10pm.

"Train movement has been regulated in two short loops — Kirti Nagar to Noida and Vaishali and Subhash Nagar to Dwarka and on a single line between Kirti Nagar and Subhash Nagar," the official added.
