Andhra Pradesh high court allows YSR Congress's October 19 rally in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh high court on Wednesday granted permission to YSR Congress to hold a public meeting in support of the united Andhra Pradesh at LB Stadium here on October 19.

The high court allowed the petition filed by YSR Congress challenging police's decision but said no provocative speeches should be made and organizers must abide by the conditions imposed by the police.

The rally would be held between 2pm to 5pm, said the high court.

Hyderabad police had refused permission for the meeting and YSR Congress general secretary K Siva Kumar had challenged the decision before the high court.

The police had cited possible law and order problems (in view of the ongoing agitation in Seemandhra districts) as the reason for denying permission.
