Why should entertainment be forced? If Fadnavis was indeed wants to support Marathi language and has information that lot of people will start watching Marathi movies if they are made available in prime time, he should have sat with theater owners and asked them to try it out for a limited period of time. If people indeed turn up and seats are all booked, why wouldn't any theater continue the practice? All they want is people to come and buy tickets. They wouldn't mind what is playing on the screen. If the theaters are forced to run Marathi films with empty seats, they will be forced to pass on that loss to their other audience. Which is nothing but indirect taxing.
