Man throws slipper at Akhilesh Yadav during Ghaziabad rally

GHAZIABAD: A 25-year-old youth on Sunday attempted to throw his slipper on Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav when he was addressing a rally at Ramleela Ground in Kavinagar area of Ghaziabad. However, the slipper could not reach to the dais from where Akhilesh was delivering speech.

The man was reportedly agitated against his land acquisition by the UP government.

Police have detained the youth and took him to police station.

As Yadav started addressing people, a youth suddenly stood up from his seat and threw his slipper on the CM raising slogans regarding his land being 'snatched'.

However, the slipper fell into media gallery.
