I heard Mulayam saying that Jaya, who used to look good, ran away with me. But I want to tell him that there were two actresses, Jaya Bachchan and Jaya Prada, who had joined the SP because of me. Jaya Bachchan remained with the party. But I never complained to anybody that she left me and went with Mulayam," Singh was reported to have said.
Singh and Prada were expelled from the Samajwadi Party in 2010.
Amar Singh poohpooed at Mulayam saying that the SP chief has lost his memory. I not ran away from the SP. I was suspended. Even Jaya Prada was also forced to leave the party,'' Singh said reportedly.
He said that it was he who brought the two actresses to the party fold because of their qualities and not because they were good looking. Singh added that the SP chief was talking about the looks of Jaya Prada, even though she considers him like a father figure.
