Abdul Kalam hospitalized after a fall, condition stable

NEW DELHI: Admitted to a hospital after a fall at his home, former President APJ Abdul Kalam is stable and recuperating well, hospital sources said on Monday.

82-year-old Kalam was admitted to Army Research and Referral Hospital on Friday after he fell down at his Rajaji Marg residence. He suffered a forehead injury and a black eye and had fainted, they said.

"His condition is perfectly stable. It is a minor injury and he will be discharged in another day or two. A team of doctors is monitoring his condition constantly," the sources said.
