NEW DELHI: Two persons, accused of making hoax calls and demanding favours and money by impersonating Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and RJD leader Lalu Prasad, were today sent back in 14 days' judicial custody by a Delhi court.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Lokesh Kumar Sharma further remanded Krishan Kumar (35) and Vikas Dutt (33) to judicial custody till October 24 after they were produced before him on expiry of their earlier remand.

Krishan and his aide Vikas were employees of T-Series Super Cassettes Industries. Krishan's another aide Amit Kumar is still absconding.

In an FIR registered on September 27, the firm's Director Ved Prakash Chanana had said he had been flooded with hoax calls for the last few months.

Chanana, a resident of Greater Kailash-II, alleged that others he had impersonated include BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha and former Union Minister Raghupati Sevugan.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police told the court that Krishan and his aides were making hoax calls from three different numbers to officials of the firm to demand money to the tune of Rs 20 lakh and other favours.

The accused have booked under section 419 (punishment for cheating by impersonation), 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication), 387 (extortion), 511 (attempt to commit an offence), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 201 (destruction of evidence) of IPC.

The court had already rejected the bail application filed by Krishan. Vikas' bail plea will be heard on October 15.
