In a joint communique, addressed to MP Avinash Rai Khanna and media houses, the inmates have requested Indian and Pakistan governments to shoot all of them so that they could get rid of "sorrowful lives, which is like hell without any aim and purpose".
The letter, written in Hindi, has been signed by prisoners Kirpal Singh, Kuldip Singh, Dharam Singh, Mohmmad Farid, Tilak Raj, Makbool Loke, Abdul Majid, Sambhu Nath, Suraja Ram, Mohinder Singh, and Punvasi.
The letter also claimed that 21 other Indian prisoners, including four women, have become mentally unstable due to "excessive torture" in Kot Lakhpat prison and do not know their names.
Khanna, a Rajya Sabha MP, on Friday provided xerox copies of the letter to media persons and said he would raise the issue in Parliament.
According to official sources, there are at least 200 Indian prisoners languishing in Pakistan jails, the BJP leader said.
Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh was killed in the same Kot Lakhpat Jail of Lahore.
