BANGALORE: After he went missing since December 31 night from a club in Manchester, Souvmik Pal, 19, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The Manchester police recovered his body from a canal and his mother Mahuya Pal received a call from Manchester police on Tuesday around 10.30 pm, saying they have found her elder son's body.
"I didn't know what to answer. With other's help, I called my husband Santanu and informed on the development," she says.
Further, she requested concerned officials to send back the body at the earliest. "It is difficult to sit and wait for the body. Please do something and bring back the body at the earliest," she said.
Alok Ranjan Pal, Souvik's grandfather, told TOI that Alok was humble and decent boy.
"It is really shocking and we are no stage to accept the truth. He was so humble and decent boy. My request to Manchester police is - please investigate into the death and find out what has happened," he told.
The two bedroom apartment was immersed in deep silence and sorrow. After learning Pal's death, family members and friends poured, expressed condolence.
